You love painting and you care deeply about your work.

But still, there’s a gap between the powerful, expressive art you feel inside and what ends up on the canvas.

You're left with paintings that feel "almost there" and a lingering frustration that you're missing a key piece of the puzzle. It’s not more techniques you need; it’s a deeper connection to your own artistic voice.

The Clarity Workshop is designed to bridge that gap.

Your Journey to Clarity (August 11th - 17th)

This isn't about rigid rules or copying my style. This is a guided journey to uncover yours. Over three short, insightful video lessons and a live painting session, you will discover:

  • The Artist's Compass: Learn to recognize the key signals in your work that tell you not just what to do next, but why, so you can move forward with bold intention.

  • Your Authentic Mark: Uncover the simple principles of variety, value, and color that will make your work feel less like an experiment and more like a true expression of you.

  • The Art of Completion: Gain the clarity to know, with deep confidence, when a painting is truly finished—and the freedom to finally sign your name with pride.

Clarity doesn´t come from knowing all the answers, but from learning to see what’s really there.

Who is the clarity workshop for and how does it work?

"Who It's For: This workshop is designed for intermediate abstract artists who've been painting for a while, but still feel stuck, unsure, or frustrated with their results—even after taking other courses. If you care deeply about your art but often second-guess yourself, this is for you. It's for artists ready to gain clarity and confidence in their process.

How It Works:

  • Your Video Lessons (Mon, Wed, Fri): You'll receive three powerful video lessons (under 20 minutes each). The first arrives Monday, August 11th, the second on Wednesday, August 13th, and the third on Friday, August 15th. This rhythm gives you space to breathe and experiment between lessons. You can check your local time for the event right here.

  • Live Painting Session: he workshop culminates in a special live session on Sunday, August 17th at 7:00 PM CEST / 1:00 PM ET. This is where the magic happens. You'll watch me paint, see the concepts in action, and get your questions answered in a warm, supportive Q&A.

  • Can't make it live? No worries. All the videos and the replay of the live session will be available to you in the course portal until August 24th.

Hi, I’m Cathy Mevik

For years, I knew the feeling of the "messy middle" intimately. I'd start a painting with passion, only to get stuck, overwork it, and lose the initial spark. I was surrounded by unfinished canvases that felt like broken promises to myself.

I didn’t lack passion or talent. I lacked clarity.

It wasn't until I stopped searching for complex rules and instead learned to see my own work with a new perspective that everything changed. I developed a simple, intuitive process that allowed me to trust my decisions and finally create the art I was meant to make.

This is the process I want to share with you. I created the Clarity Workshop because no artist should to struggle to find their voice. It's my joy to help you find your own clarity, so you can paint with more confidence, freedom, and joy.
